Sonny Rosario was born in Rochester, NY, in May 1996 to a Seneca Native mother and a Puerto Rican father. As an artist, she specializes in drawing Rochester’s city streets, frequently collaborating with local photographers. While her primary mediums are ink and graphite, she has recently begun experimenting with digital art.
In addition to her artistic work, Sonny is a mother of two and the owner of La Botanika, an herbal wellness service. She is a dedicated advocate for mothers, Latinas, individuals in recovery, and women transitioning out of incarceration.
Sonny’s herbal lifestyle and wellness expertise have been featured in various podcasts, newspapers, and magazine articles. Her artwork has been showcased in several Rochester galleries, including Behind The Glass, Frank’s Chop Shop, The Yards, Little Shop of Hoarders, and the Memorial Art Gallery.
